YeYe, finally done :O

We start our great journey at the railway station of Rankweil. First of all I’m going to tell you some facts about Rankweil, which was founded by the Romans. Nowadays Rankweil has about 12.000 inhabitants. But before we start our journey I want to add some information. Rankweil’s got 2 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 special school, a poly, a hlw and of course a htl.

The first “sight” is a bit to the west, so you guys better follow me.

We’ll walk down the “Schleipfweg” and then take the bus (line 68) and get out at the busstation called “Krönele”.

So this here is the golf course. The building work was finally done a year ago. Unfortunately it’s very expensive to play there, but it’s really worth every cent.

Our next destination is the “Vinomna Saal”, which is named after the old name of “Rankweil” (Vinomna). It’s a few footsteps from the railway station if you just follow the “Bahnhofstraße” to the east. Balls and theatres are only a few examples for what this building is used for. Mainly it’s used for events which deal with entertainment of the public.

Maybe you’ve already realized the beautiful building up the hill, which is our next destination.

Don’t worry guys, it won’t get too exhausting, it’s really not as high as it looks like in the first moment.

So this is the place. This is the “Basilika”, which is nowadays used as a church. The “Basilika” was in the mediavel times a castle and refuge of the people living in “Rankweil”. This amazing church is only one of the 3 churches in Rankweil. The Basilika is known very well, because it’s a famous pilgrimage spot in Austria. Another exciting fact about the Basilika is that the pope himself blessed this church a few years ago.

There’s so much to show you guys here, but unfortunately there’s so much to show and so little time.

Finally I want all of you to enjoy your further holidays, and wish you and your family all the best.

Good bye~
